* In my case I already had BitWig 8-Track, Behringer UMC404 Audio I/F, and the Behringer Neutron. I'm not sure I want to pull the trigger yet and buy the software yet. Then it 'expires' and puts me out of business completetly. Luckily the Neutron actually showed up in the Output Options, and in had to be sending MIDI since the Neutron is responding.ġ) I'm not sure if it is the 'original' MIDI as detected in the first 'Tracking' Phase or if it is the altered MIDI after applying effects and timber that has been selected in the S/WĢ) I seem to have problems with the key sync or key track not responding predictably in the Neutron.Īnytime I make a change in the MIDI Guitar DEMO program it seems to nag me and I loose any ability to smoothly test and try out the software. (Guitar to Audio I/F to MIDI Guitar back through the Audio I/F to Speakersīut instead of speaker output, I wanted to send the MIDI to my Neutron to try it out.

MIDI Guitar is able to run standalone without the DAW. None of witch I wanted this early in my chain. MIDI Guitar is over 10 years in development() and based upon state-of-the-art polyphonic pitch detection and prediction technology that can accurately. It has several sound generators and shapers. MIDI Guitar is the World’s first app to transcribe guitar playing into MIDI in real-time, with latency and accuracy comparable to expensive and inconvenient hardware MIDI guitar solutions. The main software has input and output routings for most active devices. It appears to be a good conversion from audio to midi statements. I downloaded the demo but something triggers it's nag screen to the point the demo is near unusable. the demo is free, nothing else is needed (*) so why not. (which I had hardly even unpacked).Ī whole new world just opened up for me.I thought that this Software solution may be more flexible as well as cheaper than a Hardware Solution. So far, I've just experimented with using in Live, with Midi-Guitar as a VST, and Maschine 2 as a midi synth within MG as a host. Not only that, but it does CHORDS!!! Even Flamenco Rasgueos sound good (depending, of course, on the patch.) It is made for electric guitar, but I am using a Takamine acoustic electric (with nylon strings yet), and although I may have to change my technique a little (like, get cleaner) and set some kind of quantization, it is amazing to play all my softsynths from my go-to Flamenco guitar. It tracks instantly, and uses no hardware other than your guitar (or anything with an audio converter). This software works WAY better than I expected.

I just downloaded, tested, and purchased Midi Guitar by Jam Origen, a software guitar-MIDI converter program.
